Conversion using the KVA to VA Formula
How to Calculate Apparent Power VA from Apparent Power KVA using AC Phase current.
The Apparent Power S in volt-amps VA is calculated as the 1000 times the apparent Power S in kilovolt-amps Kva. Plug these values into the formula:
VA = 1000 × KVA
For Example, let's find the convert 20 kVA to VA.
Apparent Power(S) = 1000 × Kilovolt-amps(S)
or, S(VA) = 1000 × 20 KVA
or, Apparent Power = 20000VA
